ARTICLE: sueddeutsche.de - 15.12.2010 - Cheers at brief appearance of Tokio Hotel in Tokyo

The Band, Tokio Hotel, were hailed by their Fans at their first Industry Showcase on Wednesday evening (Local Time) in Japan. The Group, led by Bill and Tom Kaulitz, played some of their international Hits during their half an hour long Industry Showcase in Tokyo and announced that they want to return to Japan with a real rock Show.

The Band traveled to Japan for a few days in the framework of a series of events «Deutschland-Japan: 150 Jahre Freundschaft» (engl.: Germany-Japan: 150 years of friendship) and also appeared as Youth Ambassadors between those two countries. At the beginning of the week the musicians were received at the German Embassy. The occasion of this series of events is the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Japanese-Prussian Friendship-, Commerce- and Navigation Treaty in 1861.

«We're amazed that we already have so many fans here», said Bill at the concert venue Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo, where he performed in a black leather suit. At the airport, Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav were greeted by their Fans with lovingly hand-made Origami-Christmas Cards.
