ARTICLE: Date with Tokio Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

FANS of Tokio Hotel (right) take note. The German pop-rock band is coming to Malaysia for a concert on May 1 which will be opened by local indie bands Bunkface and Pop Shuvit.

Presented by Universal Music Malaysia in partnership with Telekom Malaysia Bhd, the TM Connects with Tokio Hotel Live in Malaysia will see twins Bill (vocals) and Tom Kaulitz (guitar), Gustav Schafer (drums) and Georg Listing (bass guitar) touching base with their fans here for the first time.

Founded in Magdeburg, Germany, in 2001, Tokio Hotel soon proved itself more than just a hometown band when its first album, Schrei (Scream), released in 2005, sold over 500,000 copies worldwide.

This was followed by its second German album, Zimmer 483 (Room 483), in 2007, which hit the one-million-mark sale worldwide.

By the time, the boys came out with their first English album, Scream, the same year, they found themselves already international stars.

Last year, Tokio Hotel released its eagerly-anticipated second English album, Humanoid, which reinforced the message that this band is no flash in the pan.

In conjunction with Tokio Hotel’s concert here, TM is offering exclusive concert premiums with every new subscription or purchase of selected TM products and services while stocks last.

Tickets to the concert will be made available at on-ground TM events or by purchasing Tokio Hotel’s latest album Humanoid from Rock Corner Outlets in Klang Valley at 1 Utama, KLCC, Mid Valley, The Gardens @ Mid Valley, The Curve, Subang Parade and Bangsar Village.

The promotion ends on April 30.

TM Connects with Tokio Hotel Live in Malaysia will be held at I Utama Shopping Centre’s Central Park Avenue from 6pm starting with the opening acts.
