NOTICE: Producer Kristian Nord talks about Tokio Hotel

2. Nils Kolonko:
»I currently have the notices of authors of Tokio Hotel (Album: “Humanoid”) respectively. Of course there are Peter Hoffmann, David Jost and Pat Benzner (who were already in the team, even when the band was called Devilish), as well as Bill and Tom Kaulitz included. In addition, Dave Roth, who wrote the album "Schrei" with them alongside with "Durch den Monsun". All other writers and producers are in place for years or decades, a 'Best Of' the American producer scene: The Matrix (extremely successful production team that produced many things for Avril Lavigne), Desmond Child (including Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Cher, Dream Theater), Jonathan Davis (Korn), Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams), Martin Kierszenbaum (Sting, Lady Gaga, Head of A & R, Interscope Records)... And you: Kristian D. Nord. (No other writer/producer.)

Question: How did you manage to be a relatively young producer in such an established team to come? How does it run with you? What tips can you give to aspiring music producers?«

Kristian Nord:
»As so often, it has always got to do with a little bit of luck. I came close to Tokio Hotel when their project was already mega successful, therefore, it was not accounted for the success for me, but I'm glad to give my creative input on a project this big and may help shape the sound of the band.
Pat Benzner, with whom I've worked for over ten years, and am good friends got me into the team. When "Scream" was so successful in America and the band was the first German band with an MTV Award, we have used the hype on people to get on board, whom have venerated themselves so much. This had more to do with fun and creativity than with business.
