ARTICLES: Tokio Hotel fans respond to DAA fundraiser with fundraising ideas of their own

Ninette Murk, Founder and Director Designers against AIDS (DAA) has reported that Tokio Hotel fans have responded to the band’s call on December 1st to help raise funds in the fight against AIDS.
Murk communicated about the project via email and had this to say about the TH fans.

"We knew that Tokio Hotel fans are a pretty motivated group of young people- and now we can be extra sure of that fact: after the 'Weltaidstag' video of Tokio Hotel came out on December 2nd, where Bill Kaulitz asks the fans to donate for our new Education Center, we got requests from fans and Street Teams, asking how they could help us even more."

Too Young to Help? Hardly.

Many fans of the band encounter difficulty, because they are so young and only have pocket money to spend toward the fundraiser. However, they have become very clever in finding ways that they can participate in the fundraiser. Murk wrote

"One girl in Freiburg, Germany offered to collect money for DAA in local stores, while the Official Houston Texas Tokio Hotel Fan Club wants to go to radio stations, large companies and other contacts in Houston, Texas US to ask for additional donations to Designers against AIDS."

The DAA/ Tokio Hotel fundraiser began on December 1st, World AIDS Day. It runs until December 31st, 2009. For more information and to submit fundraising ideas, contact ninette@designersagainstaids.com.
