So, I think a good place to start would be to take a quick look at Bill’s style evolution throughout the years. This blog won’t be solely focused on Bill, but let’s face it – he is the biggest risk-taker in the band when it comes to fashion choices, making him the most interesting member of the band in that respect. As a result, it only makes sense that he’ll occupy a lot of the focus of this blog.
So, how did we get from the Bill on the left to the Bill on the right?
Bill's style: From then to now
2001-2003
Bill clearly began to experiment with fashion way back in the Devilish days (and perhaps even before then, but we don’t really have as much photographic evidence for that time!). He has said on a few occasions that he customized a lot of his own clothing during this time, and it shows
. While his fashion choices back then wouldn’t exactly be chic enough to grace the pages of
Vogue, they were a pretty good indication of his creativity and imagination, as well as a pretty good indication of things to come.
2004-2005By now, it looks as though Bill has put down the scissors and ditched the cut-off sleeves in favor of leather jackets and tees. This seems to be where Bill’s long-standing love affair with leather jackets began. I can’t say that I’m a big fan of Bill’s hairstyle during this era, but I will admit it is pretty iconic and worked for him at the time. I’ll bet that’s something all of us can say in regard to one “Bill Hair Era” or another
.
